I have my pc connected to UPS and at stress test I was expecting a consistent wattage pull but it seems to fluctuate between 260 to 360, so it jumps up and down 100 watts every half a tick(.5 second) or so, I'm monitoring cpu usage and its always at max during stress test and with xtu monitoring various throttle values nothing comes up throttlingĤ. First time offset option, Its been stable under blender tests with offset -130-LLC Level 3(heard vdroop is a good thing so I relaxed the LLC to 3), is offset better than fixed?ģ. Are my voltage and temp normal under current overclock looking at hwinfo screenshot I providedĢ. So haven't been in overclocking game in a long while, last I was did was frist gen i7,ġ. So I originally posted this ona wrong group With the 120mm Fan Blowing over the Taichi,s VRM it cools it to a crisp 87C im gona replace pads which involves taking the whole computer apart somtime soon and ill report back if It fixed the VRM temps.Īnyone else have the z390 taichi, and experiencing high VRM temps? at high speeds 5Ghz+ AVX Load, while running prime95 smallfft +? let me know thanks. but yea I was also thinking about modding in a water cooling vrm I wonder what one would fit the taichi? so I put a 120mm high speed fan infront of the vrm until I put the pads in.
the VRM heats up soo fast up to 110c plus in less than 3 minutes. Temps never get above 87c and average around 83 during max stress.īut …. I9 9900kf 5.1GHZ 1.28V with a 0 AVX Offset Stable in prime95 latest version, small FFT with avx, and im on Level 3 LLC with an offset voltage of -0.010, and its stable. sometimes during stress I feel the vrm heatsink and its cool to touch and I feel board from back and its blazing hot. Im having VRM Overheating Issues on my z390 Taichi, I ordered some Thermal Grizzly Minus 8 Pads 2mm and im thinking about replacing the stock ones on VRM.
